The Governors of this small Catholic Primary School in Bollington are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and hardworking Site Maintenance Officer, who can lead others, to join our committed, supportive and friendly staff team.

St Gregory’s’ is a 1-form entry primary school with 2 buildings and extensive grounds. We are looking for someone who can clean, including specialist areas such as the hall floor, do basic DIY and simple building and maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will liaise with our Headteacher, Finance Officer, Governors and cleaning staff to maintain, develop and manage the school site. The site manager is required to lock up at the end of all events.

The post involves working a split shift pattern of: Monday to Friday

• 30am – 9.30am and
• 3:30 pm – 6pm during term time flexible hours during school holidays

We are looking for someone who:-

• Is approachable, friendly, enthusiastic, hardworking and a good communicator with a sense of humour
• Has the ability to take the initiative to deal with problems as they arise
• Is able to relate to both adults and children
• Is organised and efficient and has the ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Can plan and ensure the completion of regular cleaning/maintenance schedules
• Is skilled at DIY
• Is flexible and is responsive to the ever changing requirements of a busy school
• Is able to support our Catholic ethos, equal opportunities and all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding.

Also:

• Previous premises management experience would be an advantage
• A clean driving licence and your own transport are essential

The post holder is responsible for our cleaner and reports to our Headteacher and Finance Officer.
