Teaching Assistant - Support (Primary with SEN)

The Governors and Executive Head of The Bishop Wilson and Christ Church, Church of England Primary Schools Federation are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant for Christ Church CE Primary School starting in September 2026. The successful candidate needs to be flexible, enthusiastic, happy to work in a team and have a trauma informed approach.
We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and highly skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is specifically designed for those with a deep understanding of complex neurodiversity as well as physical disabilities. You will work closely with individual children, providing tailored 1-to-1 support as well as small group support to ensure they can access the curriculum, develop independence, and thrive in our school. With support from the class teacher and SENCO, you will be required to support the delivery of activities specific to EHCPs for individual and small groups of children. This may include SALT, Bucket Therapy, fine and gross motor skills activities. This will be within the classroom and in small intervention groups or on a 1:1 basis.
