Job Title: Site maintenance

Salary: 

Grade:  G3-G6 depending on your qualifications and experience 

Time: 2 days - full time (negotiable)  52 weeks per year (5 weeks holiday)

Contract Length: Permanent following a successful probationary period

Start Date: ASAP

Head Teacher: Mr W Sharpe

The hours and pay are fully negotiable and based on skills and experience. It is a priority that we find the right match for our school and although experience is desirable it is not essential as training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will: - 

  • Be friendly, personable, enjoy working around children and adults
  • Have an excellent work ethic 
  • Be committed to ensuring The Quinta is a safe environment for all 
  • Be able to work independently or part of a team depending on the task 
  • Have the highest standards in their work and take pride in all they do, knowing their work reflects the standards of themselves and the school. 
  • Have excellent DIY skills or be prepared to engage with training  for example around: painting, carpentry, brickwork etc. 
  • Work and liaise with external contractors efficiently. 

Daily duties will include maintaining the security of the school premises by locking and unlocking entrances as required; undertaking general maintenance and upkeep to the site.  During school closure, you will undertake maintenance and repairs to the site as detailed in our rolling programme for the development and maintenance of the academy.
