Rossmore School

Site Maintenance Officer (JDQ: AA:AD 5006)

Grade 4

37 hrs per week, full year

Salary range: £23,114 - £23,893 (dependent on experience)

Start date: February 2024

The Governors and Head Teacher of Rossmore School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, hard-working team member to manage the site of our lovely school. The Site Maintenance Officer role is diverse, and the successful candidate will be expected to undertake a wide variety of maintenance routines roles, as well as playing a key role in the health and safety requirements of our school. The successful candidate may, on occasion, be required to drive one of our school minibuses, after having completed MIDAS training.

The successful candidate will need a positive ‘can do’ attitude and be able to demonstrate professionalism at all times. Applications from those with experience of decorating, DIY, joinery, electrical, plumbing and general cleaning skills are desirable, but not essential. The post will involve working a split shift, and an allowance is paid for this. This is a full time position (all year), with a requirement to take annual holiday entitlement during the school holidays.

Rossmore School is committed to ensuring the safety of children and young people and therefore all post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures. Appointment is subject to the completion of pre-employment checks, which includes references, Health Assessment, Right to Work in the UK and a DBS.

Candidates are welcome to come and have a look around the school. For more information or to book a school visit, please contact Mrs Powell-Wallis, Bursar, on 0151 329 3683.
