Be part of our schools to deliver exceptional education to children across Cheshire
St Martin’s Academy is an outstanding primary school situated in Chester in the popular suburb of Hoole and is a part of North West Academies Trust. Opening in 2013 as part of the national Free Schools Program with a class of 25 children in reception, St Martin’s reached full capacity in 2019 with 175 children on role from the EYFS to Year 6. Offering an extended day, full wrap around care and smaller class sizes, St Martin’s Academy offers a choice of provision within the local context and has been oversubscribed since opening 10 years ago.
As part of the continued development of our team, the Academy wishes to appoint passionate, inspirational and highly motivated practitioners to support the teaching and learning within our school. As an assistant teacher at St Martin’s you will set high expectations of yourself and the children you work with, ensuring excellent outcomes for all and maintain the schools strong working partnerships with parents and the wider school community. This is an ideal opportunity for an outstanding practitioner, either experienced or new to the profession, to develop their practice as part of a dynamic school. A passion for learning outdoors and for physical activity is desirable to enhance the outstanding provision already in place at St Martin’s.
We are a small team, committed to providing a vibrant and inspiring learning environment for our pupils, as well as maintaining excellent relationships with parents/carers. We feel this role would best suit a teaching assistant who can bring relevant personal and professional experiences and interests into the classroom to help enhance our wide range of extra-curricular activities. Prior classroom experience is essential. There is huge potential for the right candidate to grow alongside the school. If you are currently a teaching assistant, are training to be a teaching assistant or are a recently qualified teacher wanting further development within the classroom, this might just be the role you are looking for.
It is essential that you have passion for working with children in the infant and junior phase of their learning and are committed to the equality of opportunity for all within the school community.
Visits to the school are strongly recommended. Please telephone the school to make an appointment. Salary is negotiable dependent upon experience
