The Pupils, Headteacher and Governors of Waverton Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and engaging class teacher to join our dedicated teaching team from September 2025. This post is part time, 0.4 and is initially for one year.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Be an excellent, classroom practitioner and have experience of providing creative learning opportunities, exceptional teaching and purposeful assessment
  • Be dedicated to ensuring the progress of all pupils, of all abilities, with a commitment to high standards
  • Be committed to nurturing the whole child with a particular emphasis on well-being and providing pastoral support
  • Be calm and positive in managing pupils’ behaviour, including pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to provide and maintain an engaging learning environment
  • Be able to form strong links with parents and see education as a partnership
  • Be willing to make an active contribution to the broader life of the school
  • Be able to lead a curriculum area 
  • Have a commitment to further professional development
