 As a Learning Mentor, you will play a key role in providing personalized support to our pupils throughout their whole school day. Your role will be crucial in helping us achieve our goal of ensuring that every child with exceptional needs receives a meaningful and enriching education, empowering them to make informed choices about their future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with pupils both individually and in small groups supporting them to overcome barriers to learning, delivering teaching, providing positive behaviour support, and delivering other focused interventions.
  • Work as part of a class team, under the direction of the class teacher and trans-disciplinary colleagues, to deliver effective and appropriate teaching, learning and behaviour support in all areas of school life
  • Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback as needed
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant SEN experience as detailed in the person specification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs
