The local academy board of Childer Thornton Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated class teacher for our 3 and 4-year-old Nursery provision. We are excited to offer this fixed term position from September 2026 for one year.  

Our well-behaved, delightful children enjoy coming to school and have a keen desire to learn. They would like an enthusiastic, committed and dedicated teacher to help them fulfil their potential. The successful candidate will play a key role in joining a supportive team in a vibrant, forward-looking primary school where all individuals are valued.

The school has a strong commitment to continuous professional development and equal opportunities for all members of staff. As an English Hub, and as a school with a strong link to the Maths Hub, we feel we can offer an exciting environment for staff to develop as practitioners. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who has the following qualities: 

  • Is an excellent EYFS practitioner with high expectations of self and pupils
  • Maintains high professional standards
  • Is an enthusiastic teacher with the desire to make a difference
  • Can demonstrate a clear knowledge of the EYFS framework and a good understanding of early learning and development
  • Is motivated and committed to working as part of a team
  • Has high expectations and demonstrates a commitment to raising standards
  • Is committed to inclusion
  • Is able to provide exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for all children

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required, and the successful applicant will be required to undergo social media checks.
