BEFORE & AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB PLAYWORKER VACANCY – 9.50 hours per week.
Club Rock runs before & after school care based in Sandiway Primary School. We are looking for a dedicated person to join our team providing the very best childcare in our school for each child, in what will be a very rewarding role. We are looking for a playworker who can bring fun, enthusiasm, professionalism and drive to our setting.
Your responsibilities will include: -
- Helping prepare and deliver quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment as per the timetable
- Providing comprehensive care for the children
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met
- Meet and greet the children on arrival
- Administering first aid, when necessary
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities
- Facilitating good communication with all team members, parents, children and school
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training
- Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure
- Working within the framework of the school’s policies and procedures
Essential skills required for the role:
- Understanding the varied needs of children and their families
- Understanding the issues of equal opportunities
- Provide and facilitate safe play
- Good communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Sound judgement and common sense
Pay: Grade 2, SCP 2 - £23,656 per annum plus additional pay for time worked in the holidays.
Actual Salary: £5,247 - £12.60 hourly rate (Cheshire West local Living Wage)
Our Club operates Monday to Friday 7.30am-9am (Breakfast Club) and 3.15pm – 6pm. The hours advertised are therefore subject to change depending on demand for our services. To Start with the shift pattern will be Monday 08:00 - 09:00, Tuesday 08:00-09:00 & 15:00 – 18:00, Wednesday 15:00 – 18:00, Friday 15:00 – 16:30.
