Caretaker (Casual Hours)

Dorin Park School, Upton, Chester

Grade 3, SCP 2 - 4, (Hourly Rate £12.60-£12.65, pending review)

Up to 37 hours per week

Casual hours, during summer holiday only, 24 July to 30 August

We are a successful and caring Special School looking for the right person to provide caretaking and general maintenance services to support the summer programme of works in the school.

Responsibilities include:

• General cleaning, both indoor and outdoor, including seasonal cleaning jobs, such as:
• Carpet cleaning
• Vehicle valeting
• Bin washing
• Deep cleaning
• Supporting the site team with general maintenance
• Moving furniture and classroom supplies as needed
• Minor patching and painting
• Working with contractors to show them school facilities
• Removal of installed furniture

Requirements include:

• Previous work in a general site / caretaking role
• Awareness of Health & Safety responsibilities
• Able to work independently

The job is subject to professional reference checks and an enhanced DBS check.
