St Gabriel’s Catholic Primary School is seeking a Welfare Assistant who is passionate, dedicated and creative individual to join our highly committed learning team. The post will involve supporting the learning needs of pupils across the school.
The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting children in an education setting.
We are seeing someone who will:

- Support the daily routines and requirements of all children

- Have high expectations of all children’s achievement and a commitment to inspiring learners
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills

- Demonstrate initiative.
We would expect you to have:
- Experience of working with pupils
- Knowledge of KS1
- Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Excellent personal and communication skills
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C+
- Competent IT skills
- Organisational skills and be able to work independently recording children’s progress
- A sense of humour (essential)
Main duties are:
- To assist and support the teacher in the delivery of learning activities
- To help all pupils develop the skills required in all subject areas
- To assist the Designated Teacher/Support Staff with resource required for any activity.
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents when required
