School Business Manager 37 hours per week from 8am – 4pm Monday – Thursday and 8am – 3:30pm each Friday.

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, the Governors of Winsford High Street Primary School are seeking to appoint a School Business Manager to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • excellent organisation and communication skills;
  • experience and skills in financial management, including financial governance, planning, control and reporting;
  • a high level of IT literacy (knowledge of a range of systems including Office, Arbor, an Unit 4ERP systems are desirable);
  • experience of HR management and administration; and
  • a relevant qualification in business/school business management (ideal but not essential).

The new Business Manager will assume responsibility for the Finance, HR, Health & Safety, Premises and Administration work together with leading the administration team.  In doing so they will support the annual budgeting process to ensure that the figures are realistic. They will work closely with HR to make sure that safe employment and maintenance records are accurate and up to date and ensure that the property as a whole is maintained correctly ensuring the highest standards of security and safety are adhered to. 

This is a fabulous role to own and develop the position in a large local authority maintained primary school and will suit an applicant keen to uphold the highest standards in an environment that will allow children to thrive.  This position will commence as soon as possible once the necessary background checks have been completed.
