Out-of-Hours Assistant Vacancy – Rode Heath Primary School

 

We are looking for a friendly, caring and reliable Out-of-Hours Assistant to join our wonderful team at Rode Heath Primary School.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play a key role in supporting their wellbeing, safety and happiness before and after the school day. The successful candidate will help provide a fun, engaging and nurturing environment for children attending our Breakfast Club, After-School Club and Holiday Club provision.

About the Role

As an Out-of-Hours Assistant, you will:

  • Supervise and support pupils attending Breakfast Club and After-School Club
  • Plan and lead engaging activities, games and creative opportunities
  • Support children with snacks and refreshments
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage cooperative play
  • Ensure pupils are safe, happy and well cared for throughout sessions
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and first aid procedures
  • Work closely with colleagues to provide a high-quality out-of-hours provision
  • Support Holiday Club sessions when required

  • Has a warm, approachable and positive manner
  • Enjoys working with children and supporting their development
  • Is energetic, enthusiastic and creative
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Is calm, patient and confident in managing behaviour
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is dependable, flexible and committed to the role

 

 

Hours & Pay

  • 15 hours per week, term-time only
  • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Breakfast Club: 7:30am – 9:00am
  • After-School Club: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
  • Additional hours may be available through our Holiday Club provision
  • Flexibility to work during school holidays is desirable
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • (Exact salary and holiday club arrangements will be confirmed upon enquiry.)
